What is a car wrap?

A car wrap is the application of adhesive film for personalisation, paint replacement or advertisement. Car wraps can come in many colours, shapes and sizes. A full car wrap covers the entire car and a partial wrap covers only a specific portion of the car - bonnet, roof, etc.

 

Why car wrap?

Car wrapping gives your vehicle a personalised look. Car wraps can also protect your vehicle paintwork against minor abrasions, bird-droppings and stone chips, extending the lifetime of your vehicle. Many people wrap their vehicle for the purpose of keeping a higher resale value on the vehicle due to the protective benefits of the wrap.

 

Why car wrap when spray-painting is cheaper?

Spray-painted graphics can be cheaper but when it comes to selling your vehicle, you will need to pay for an expensive re-spray or lose value.

 

Is the film removable?

Yes! The wrap film can be removed anytime without changing or damaging the original paintwork.

 

Does it affect the paintwork on my car?

The car wrap materials are formulated with removable adhesive that does not damage cars paint.

 

What materials are available?

Our preferred materials are manufactured by 3M and ORACAL.

 

How long will the car wrap last?

The lifespan of a vehicle wrap is determined by many factors; the condition of the car; cleaning methods etc. If properly treated, a vehicle wrap should have an expected life of up to 5 years.

 

How do I wash the car once wrapped?

Detergent and water will do the work. Mechanical car washes are not recommended.

 

Does the car wrap film fade over time?

The wrap films are meant to last for more than five years and it is unlikely to have any noticeable fading during this period.
